For the latest weather register to hear our watchtower reports or check with your local news station. The Airfield will be open at all times regardless of the weather, although your flight plan may be rejected by the watchtower if they deem it too dangerous to fly. We strongly advise that you read the weather reports for the area before coming to the airfield.
Flying can be dangerous in particular weather and for this reason our watch tower keeps strict regulations about what weather our members can fly in.
*Should wind speeds reach above 29 knots then no plane, no matter its size will be allowed to take off. For smaller planes this is significantly less. Please read your members handbook for the precise speeds for your plane as well as the conversion into mph (so that your local news station makes sense to you!)
*Should a storm be imminent and your flight plan local, you will be grounded until it has passed. Should a storm be imminent but you are flying out of it and not returning directly, you may be allowed to take off, but check the severity of the storm with the watchtower.
